About this site

Full Transparency helps people search federal legislation and understand official congressional voting records. The site does not require user accounts and does not create ratings or political profiles about its visitors.

Information processed when you use the site

  • Searches: The words or questions you submit are processed to retrieve relevant legislative records from official government data services.
  • Representative lookup: If you choose to enter an address, it is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder to identify the applicable congressional district. Full Transparency does not intentionally save the address or use it for advertising.
  • Technical information: Hosting, security, and service providers may process information normally transmitted by a browser, such as IP address, device and browser type, requested pages, and request times. This information may be used to operate, secure, and diagnose the site.

Advertising and cookies

Full Transparency uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. Additional industry opt-out choices are available at YourAdChoices. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required, the site may display a consent or privacy-choice message before using certain advertising technologies. Visitors can use the choices provided in that message to manage personalized advertising and related cookie preferences.

Government records and external links

Legislative results are assembled from services and records published by Congress.gov, GovInfo, the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and the U.S. Census Bureau. Links to government records and other external websites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices.

Data retention

Full Transparency does not maintain user accounts or a database of visitor profiles. Technical logs may be retained temporarily by hosting or service providers for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. External services may retain information according to their own policies.

Children's privacy
